Publishing Coordinator, Grand Central Publishing

The Publishing Coordinator will provide strategic and tactical support for the Deputy Publisher at Grand Central Publishing, in addition to administrative support. The position’s responsibilities will focus on essential coordination, organization, and assistance across the publishing division and with the Sales team.   
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Help organize and communicate with in-house colleagues, members of the sales team, and other stakeholders across HBG on go-to-market deliverables and deadlines and other various matters
  • Coordinate, create, and traffic materials for weekly and seasonal meetings, and maintain master grids for these meetings
  • Produce and run various reports using in-house systems, including publishing schedules, various sales reports, competition grids, fact sheets, etc.
  • Develop and build presentations for seasonal launch, strategy, and sales conference meetings and other meetings where visual presentations are needed
  • Provide the Deputy Publisher with general administrative support and support on special projects
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in book publishing
  • An ability to attend to details and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Superb organization skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, and other databases
 This is a NYC based role. Please note our current hybrid model is two days per week in the office. Effective in January 2025, HBG’s hybrid model will be 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home.

The compensation for this position is $53,200. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
